Supply Chain Manager will ensure timely and cost-efficient procurement of raw materials (waste plastics for recycling) from their designated regions.
Raw material sourcing is the single most important factor in determining the unit economics of our business, and SCMs will ensure desired quantities and materials of plastic waste are sourced in time for customer deliveries.
Supply Chain Manager will be responsible building market intelligence in scrap plastic trading, develop reliable and loyal large trader across their region, and ensure minimal volatility in supply volume, quality and price.
The selected candidate will be required to
• be a self-starter, independent worker, and a hustler • have a keen eye for good trading
• At least 50% travel per month
Good candidates will have:
At least 10 years of professional experience in informal procurement or sales, strong preference for candidates who have worked in FMCG, Social Sector, Microfinance, Unorganized Retail, or Agri, sectors.
Typical experience includes Vendor/Supplier/Customer Relationships and Management including but not limited to Discovery, Selection, Onboarding, Procurement and/or Sales
Ability to work with both formal sector supplier (corporates, businesses) as well as informal sector suppliers (traders, kabadiwallahs) with ease
Knowledge of and comfort with basic reporting and analysis tools (such as excel)
Basic cost accounting skills and ability to make cost driven decisions
Excellent negotiation and business deal-making skills.
Should have managed a team and/or territory i.e. at least 5-8 direct reports.

High School / Diploma / Degree
Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and preferably one South Indian
Ability to travel extensively across their cities and areas
